  • Ample water supply for harnessing the river waters, the government has undertaken 38 irrigation projects, consisting of 22 major irrigation projects, 13 medium irrigation projects, one flood bank, and two modernizations of existing projects
  • Installed power capacity of over 16,621 MW; gearing up to increase the total capacity to 28,400 MW over the next 4-5 years
  • Telangana houses the second-highest installed solar power generation capacity in the country, which stood at 3,501 MW in 2018

    • NH 7: Arrives from Nagpur in the North departs towards Bengaluru in the South
    • NH 9: Arrives from Mumbai in the West departs towards Vijayawada in the South, which is the major city of AP state
    • NH 16: Nizambad- Mancheral- Jagdalpur
    • NH 202 connects Warangal in the North with Hyderabad

Water Supply

The major rivers passing through the state are the Krishna, the Godavari and their tributaries such as Musi, Manjira, etc. For harnessing the river waters, the government has undertaken 38 irrigation projects, consisting of 22 major irrigation projects, 13 medium irrigation projects, one flood bank, and two modernisations of existing projects – Flagship Initiatives – Kaleshwaram & Mission Kakatiya.
