Life Sciences Grid Strategy

State Government has set out an ambitious target of  doubling the value  life-sciences  ecosystem to about US$100 Bn in 10 years with creation of about 400,000 new jobs. Committed to achieving the vision, the Government has number of new initiatives have been rolled out including establishment of the world’s largest pharma cluster – Hyderabad Pharma City, strengthening and expansion of the most successful Genome Valley cluster, launch of Country’s largest Medical Devices Park, biological scale-up manufacturing facility – B Hub, Life Sciences Infrastructure Fund, Digital Medicines Hub, Industry led Skill Development Programmes, among others.

In order to consolidate all these efforts and propel growth of the sector in a concerted manner, Government had announced “Life Sciences Grid Strategy” aimed at creating a network of all the stakeholders in the State. ‘Life Sciences grid’ is an unique plan of the Government to create a network of infrastructure, stakeholders, skilled workforce and efficient processes.

The key objective of Life Sciences grid would include strengthening State’s leadership in the Life Sciences sector, connecting all the stakeholders of Life Sciences sector seamlessly, enabling massive job growth. This initiative is first-in-its-kind that will enable Life Sciences sector to achieve its 100-billion-dollar potential in accelerated mode.
